Members will have a half hour with one camera and lens, no flash, a model they haven't worked with, in a location that they likely haven't shot in before. 36 exposures are submitted on the spot for judging. Judges will select the one they think is best and rank it with the other participants best shots. More details to come!
This Year's First Field Trip
The first field trip will take place on Thursday, September 20th at 6pm. We will be going to a cyclocross race in the Fredericton area, the exact location is unknown until closer to the event. Photographing a cyclocross race is a great opportunity to practice your action photography, as it consist of the participant making as many laps around the course in a 1 hour time period as possible, and the cross contains many different obstacles. You can check out the local Fredericton group on Facebook, they are all excited to see their pictures from the races and look forward to our club attending a race.
Over Night Field Trip
One of the highlights of the field trips for 2018-2019 season is the overnight trip to Miscou Island and Caraquet. The fall colour of the peat moss at the Miscou Island is just stunning in October. We stay at Auberge De la Baie in Caraquet, and enjoy strolling the lovely Acadian town. After dinner at a restaurant, we enjoy a show time at the hotel. The participants will have opportunity to share images they made and the stories around photography. The next day, we head to Village Historique Acadien. Stay tuned for details!
